Missouri Comprehensive Guidance Program:
Career Development Strand Scope and Sequence (FY2005)
The Missouri Comprehensive Guidance Program includes three strands: Personal and Social Development, Academic Development and Career Development. This project is for the development of a new scope and sequence for the Career Development strand of the Missouri Comprehensive Guidance Program. This will include two phases: 1) the completion of the Benchmarks document for the Career Development Strand of the Missouri Comprehensive Guidance Program and 2) the development of sample activities for each outcome/age range cell in the benchmark document completed in Phase 1.
Both phases of the project will be developed by a practitioner-filled writing team. The team includes certified school counselors with extensive experience with the Missouri Model Guidance Program. Leading the team will be Carolyn Magnuson, Lincoln University, Carolyn Roof, Mill Creek Elementary (Columbia), Bragg Stanley, DESE, and Dr. Larae Watkins, MCCE. At the conclusion of the project, the Benchmark documents and sample activities will be available on the MCCE website for download in a modifiable format.
