Alignment of the PLTW© Curriculum with the Show-Me Standards   (FY2005)

This project is for the development of a curriculum alignment of the Project Lead The Way (PLTW©) courses with the Show-Me standards. Missouri is adopting the PLTW© courses as approved Career Education courses. All academic curricula in Missouri should be aligned with the Show-Me Standards. These are new courses in this state, and it is imperative, in light of Missouri's and the No Child Left Behind Act's accountability requirements, that Missouri's teachers and schools have a clear understanding how these courses align to the Show-Me Standards.

The project team will develop MLOs for each of four courses, and those will be crosswalked to the ShowMe standards and the ITEA standards. An advisory committee comprised of educators involved in delivering PLTW© courses will review the work of the project team and validate the completed PLTW© curriculum and Show-Me standards alignment documents. Project staff includes Mr. Donald Scott, MCCE, Mr. Tim Weil, UCM, and Dr. Michael Wright, UCM, Project Director.
