Revision and Materials Development
for Cooperative Career Education (FY2005)
With the combination of the Cooperative Industrial Education (CIE) and Cooperative Occupational Education (COE) programs to form Cooperative Career Education (CCE), it is critical that the curriculum be revised and supporting materials be developed to meet the needs of the current program. As a beginning to this effort, this project focuses on the revision of existing curriculum and development of supporting instructional materials for Cooperative Career Education. The project will include the identification of the scope of the curriculum, and the development of performance indicators and suggested instructional strategies and assessments.
With the input and guidance of an advisory committee including current Cooperative Career Education instructors, teacher educators and stakeholders from business and industry, the project team will work to develop a useful and useable guide for Cooperative Career Education programs. Leading the project are Dr. Gene Reed, content specialist, Mrs. Julie Lyman, DESE, and Dr. Larae Watkins, MCCE.
