Exploring Career Clusters Course Guide (FY2005)
The focus of this project is the development of a course guide for a one-semester Career Exploration course. The course will cover exploratory instruction in the three of the sixteen Career Clusters incorporated in Technology Education in Missouri. The course outlines were developed, reviewed and disseminated in the Technology Education Curriculum Guide 2002. Successful implementation of the new career exploration courses will require the development of the curriculum components such as profiles, objectives, and assessment guidelines.
The project team will develop selected curriculum components for the new Career Exploration course, targeting development of a instructional structure that can be utilized across Career Clusters. An advisory committee will review and respond to the materials as that are developed, and their input will be incorporated into the final course guide. The project team includes Mr. Donald Scott, MCCE, Mr. Ben Yates, UCM, and Dr. Michael Wright, UCM, Project Director.
