Desktop Publishing/Multimedia Competency Profile Revisions (FY2005)
This project will result in the revision two existing competency profiles, one for Desktop Publishing (CIP Code 10.0303) and a second for Multimedia (CIP Code 11.0899). Revisions will reflect technological changes that have impacted these two fields since the original profiles were developed over six years ago. In addition to revising the competency profiles, both of the revised competency profiles will be crosswalked with the Missouri Show-Me Standards and the National Standards for Business Education.
A committee of business educators who currently teach in the desktop publishing and multimedia areas are leading the revisions. Following validation by business and industry, the finalized competency profiles and their crosswalks will be available for download on the MCCE Website. The project director for this effort is Dr. Larae Watkins, MCCE.
