Description:
Introductory materials with 13 lessons designed for 15 hours of instruction for students in grades 10 or higher as part of the Agricultural Science II Core Curriculum. Curriculum includes importance of soil, soil formation, horizons, texture, coloring, chemical properties, fertility, sampling and interpreting test results, effects of water on soil, site characteristics, management and interpretations, environmental impact of soil and water management, and evaluating soil landscape. These materials were developed by the Instructional Materials Lab at the University of Missouri-Columbia.
