Guidance System of Support - Consortium Meetings
Annual fall and spring Guidance System of Support (GSOS) meetings are held at area career centers across the state for all K-12 counselors within that consortium. All meetings follow the same agenda, are facilitated by a Career Education Coordinator and focus on enhancing comprehensive guidance programs.
Spring 2012 - K-8 Curriculum Development
The Spring Consortium meetings will provide the opportunity for all K-8 (any combination of elementary and middle school grade) counselors to share best practices with consortium peers around the following three topics:
- Small Group Interventions
- Career Decision Making
- Transitions
Please come and learn whether or not you share materials. If you do share, please bring samples. An array of curriculum resources will also be provided.
K-8 Counselors will:
- Understand how K-8 programs build the foundation for Individual Planning.
- Share best practices and align with the Guidance GLEs.
- Leave with ideas, materials, resources, and plans to enhance their program.
