Guidance System of Support - Work Session Meetings
Guidance System of Support Work Sessions are developed by request, designed to facilitate collaborative work on specific projects initiated in the GSOS meetings and are tailored to grade level (elementary, middle, and high school) needs. Fall 2011 work sessions are specifically for high school counselors. Future work sessions may include or focus on middle school and elementary counselors.
High School Fall 2011 Work Session
This high school work session will provide counselors with the opportunity to work with consortium peers to develop or improve their individual planning tools. Career Education Coordinators will share state developed program of study and personal plan of study templates for counselors to review, compare to their own, and use as desired.
High school counselors will develop:
- An awareness of DESE's "Top 10 by 20" goals.
- Customized Program of Study templates and checklist.
- Personal Plan of Study template and checklist.
- Improved collaborative relationships with consortium peers.
